Why did a transaction fail or get rejected?

An on/off-ramp transaction may fail or be rejected if it does not meet required processing, compliance, or rail requirements.

Common reasons include:
  • Unsupported payment rail
  • Unsupported country or corridor
  • Unsupported stablecoin or blockchain network
  • Incorrect or incomplete payment instructions
  • Sender or recipient information mismatch
  • Failed KYC or KYB
  • Compliance screening hold or rejection
  • Insufficient funds
  • Invalid recipient bank account details
  • Payment returned by a banking partner
  • Funds sent from an unsupported sender or account
  • Funds sent on an unsupported blockchain network
For implementation requirements, supported configurations, and error handling, please refer to Bastion’s developer documentation.

If you need help investigating a failed transaction, contact Bastion Support with the transaction ID, payment rail, amount, sender/recipient details, and any error message received.
